What is Botox?

Botox is the most popular non surgical cosmetic treatment in the world today. The active ingredient in Botox is a purified protein called Botulinum Toxin A. This is produced naturally by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum and then refined for use in the medical and cosmetics industries. It has been in widespread use for over two decades and has an excellent safety record.

It is injected in tiny amounts into the skin and and causes the facial muscles to relax allowing wrinkles and lines to disappear.

At Pro Dermal we offer a range of facial botox treatments for both men and women. These can alleviate frown lines (glabellar lines), forehead lines and crows feet. Our doctors can also offer botox treatment for hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating).
